Public Safety In Service

For spring 2015, the District and CCFT agree to the following:

The District will hire an adjunct instructor to serve as the Coordinator of the Public Safety In-Service program for the spring 2015 term. Examples of duties include:

  • 1. Coordinates, reviews, and, in collaboration with the program classified staff, makes recommendations regarding the in-service program to the appropriate administrator to ensure that the needs of the college and the local public safety agencies are met.
  • 2. Serves as the college representative for all Public Safety in-service related training and attends in-service related meetings with the Public Safety agencies involved in the program, including the Fire Officers Training Association and the Law Enforcement Training Managers groups.
  • 3. Develops recommendations to the appropriate administrator regarding scheduling, program planning, resource allocation, and facility use.
  • 4. Serves as the instructor of record for all sections of CJ 155D, Law Enforcement Skills and Knowledge Modules, and FT 155D, Fire Technology Skills and Knowledge Modules.
  • 5. Reviews the Instructor Agreements to ensure that CJ 155D and FT 155D instructors meet minimum qualifications.
  • 6. Coordinates SLO assessment for CJ 155D and FT 155D.
  • 7. In collaboration with the appropriate administrator and the program classified staff, coordinates and guides the fiscal and instructional operation of the program.

The Public Safety In-Service Coordinator will receive one (1) teaching unit at the adjunct and overload salary schedule rate for performing these duties during the spring 2015 semester.

This agreement is only for spring 2015.
